Computer

Yesterday at school while using a computer in the library I was mildly annoyed. The woman next to me, all of a sudden had a group of 6 African American male undergraduates surround her. The reason I mention race, you will see in a moment. Now, they were being loud and belligerent as anybody inside a library should definitely be. OK, well, I only had a problem with one or two of them, as they completely invaded my personal space and then some. One was obstructing my view consistently with his arm and body...obstructing the view of my monitor, as he was trying to haphazardly shove his thumb drive into the USB port of the computer next to me that this woman was using. His body was constantly coming into contact with mine...and he seemed like he didn't even notice I was there. Expletives were being wildly thrown in the air, and genitals were constantly being adjusted. I just wanted to finish a short paper and print it.

Okay, so I suppose this isn't a big deal at all. I mean it lasted a few minutes. But I could sense the disregard and disrespect for me so easily. I mean, his body was literally inches from my face! My question is, was I experiencing racism in a mild form? Or was this kid just an idiot?
